Mommy Makeover: Combining Procedures After Pregnancy

Pregnancy and childbirth create profound changes in a woman’s body — some of which don’t respond to diet and exercise. A Mommy Makeover addresses these changes through a customized combination of procedures performed in a single surgical session, offering comprehensive restoration with one recovery period.

What’s Included?

A Mommy Makeover is not a single standardized operation but rather a personalized combination tailored to each patient. The most common combination is breast lift (with or without implants) + tummy tuck + liposuction. Additional procedures such as breast reduction, arm lift, thigh lift, or BBL can be incorporated based on individual needs. Every plan is unique.

Timing

Ideal timing is at least 6-12 months after the last delivery, after achieving weight stability, and after completing breastfeeding. Patients planning future pregnancies are generally advised to wait, as another pregnancy can reverse surgical results.

The Single-Session Advantage

Combining multiple procedures under one anesthesia means one hospital visit, one recovery period, and overall lower costs compared to staging procedures separately. However, combined surgeries are longer, and the initial recovery period requires more rest and support, particularly during the first 2 weeks.

Evaluation

During consultation, overall health, BMI stability, smoking status, breastfeeding completion, and realistic expectations are all assessed. Smoking must be discontinued at least 4 weeks before surgery. The surgical plan is discussed in detail to ensure you understand each component and the expected recovery timeline.
